Perhaps one of the most important rules to live by as a teacher is to make sure the students know you care about their growth and development into mature adults who possess marketable skills. I want to instill my passion for the agricultural communications industry into my students and help them pursue a career in a field that is so rewarding.
A goal I have as an instructor is to instill a good work ethic within my students. Part of what I teach is that positive attitudes and hard work will carry them far in their classes and later, their careers. Thus, my most important goal is to harness those good attitudes and work to create productive employees for the agricultural communications industry.
My teaching has been recognized on local, regional, and national levels, and that’s cool and all. What’s better than that is where my former students are working. We have alumni working in Congress, agricultural companies of all size and scope. educational institutions of all levels, various news organizations, and many own their own businesses. It is so much fun to see former students realizing their potential.
Here is a list of classes I currently teach, followed by classes I have taught in previous semesters. I am always happy to share with others, so contact me and I’m happy to send you my syllabus and assignment ideas.
