Scott, Jett, & Erica Irlbeck

Erica Irlbeck is an associate professor of agricultural communications at Texas Tech University.  She specializes in visual communications, especially video, risk/crisis communications, and scientific communications.

Dr. Irlbeck received her doctor of education degree in agricultural education from Texas Tech in August 2009. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Irlbeck worked in agricultural television news, farm radio, public relations, and advertising. She received her bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications from Oklahoma State University in 1998 and her master’s degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech in 2007.

Dr. Irlbeck teaches Video Production in Agriculture, Agricultural Communications Campaigns, Professional Development in Agricultural Communications, and Advanced Video Production.

Dr. Irlbeck’s husband Scott is a wheat and sorghum farmer in Swisher Countyy. They have one son, Jett. They enjoy cheering for the Red Raiders, gardening, and traveling.
